The much heralded "Nile" family from the Ansata
Arabian Stud of Don and Judith Forbis descended from the mare Fa-Habba
(Fadl x Bint Bint Sabbah). When she and three other mares from the
famous Babson Farm came on lease to Ansata in 1964, she was the
last choice of the four selected broodmares. However, she turned
out to be the best choice. When mated to Ansata Ibn Halima, she
produced the much revered bay mare, Falima who was a true matriarch.
"She was the herd boss, but a kindly one," Judith Forbis remembers.
"Always rushing to the rescue with a worried look on her face whenever
another member of the herd was in trouble, or a foal needed attention."
Her daughters became wonderful broodmatrons in their own right and
soon the Nile family became famous around the world.
One of the loveliest members of this family was the grey mare Nile
Allure (Ansata Halim Shah x Ansata Nile Magic by Jamilll), bred
by Ansata in 1991 and exported to Egypt at the age of six years.
She inherited Ansata Halim Shah's elegance and beauty and Jamilll's
wonderful balance of body. Those who had the fortune to see her
(sadly she passed away in 2002) said that she was one of the most
beautiful mares who ever set foot on Egyptian soil.
Out of her progeny, her daughter
Arousat El Nil Rahim is one of her most
valued assets. At home at Al Sharbatly Stud in Egypt, this elegant
and refined mare is a classic representative of the old Nile family.
Sired by the well-known Imperial Madori, Arousat El Nil combines
his upright carriage, smooth body and powerful trot with the ethereal
beauty of her dam. Imperial Madori (Imperial Madheen x Imperial
Orianah by Orashan), who was imported by Omar Sakr to Egypt, was
bred by Imperial Egyptian Stud in the USA. He serves as the head
sire of Omar Sakr's famous stud and is without any doubt Imperial
Madheen's most influential son. Many of his get won national and
international titles. He is one of the very few horses in the world
today to combine the brothers Imperial Madheen and Orashan (both
by the famous sire Messaoud) in the pedigree. These two stallions
were bred in Germany and imported to the US by Imperial Egyptian
Stud where they stood side by side siring exceptional foals.
Like her sire, Arousat El Nile is very correct and it's hard to
pick a fault on her. The judges at several shows agreed and Arousat
El Nil was made Reserve Champion Mare at the International "B" Show
at El Zahraa in 2004 and Senior Champion Mare at the Egyptian Nationals
at Sakkara in 2005.
At Al Sharbatly Stud Arousat El Nil reigns as queen of the farm
- and she seems to know that! She is full of herself and has that
certain "look at me" attitude which makes her the center of attention
at every show. However, at the same time she is a caring mother
for her foals and protects them with her life! Her 2005 daughter
Amal El Nil Al Sharbatly (by Ghazal Sakr)
is the pride and joy of Al Sharbatly Farm.
This year Arousat El Nil will be sent to Europe to stay with Philippe
Hossay and Johanna Ullström at European Training Center. This and
next summer she will participate at some shows and thereafter will
be bred to a stallion in Europe. To which one? Well, this is a secret
yet ... but ask her owners at Al
Sharbatly Stud and perhaps they will reveal it...

Die in aller Welt berühmte "Nile"-Familie des
Ansata-Gestüts von Don und Judith Forbis geht auf die Stute Fa-Habba
(Fadl x Bint Bint Sabbah) zurück. Als sie und drei weitere Babson-Stuten
1964 zur Pacht auf das Ansata-Gestüt kamen, war sie die letzte Wahl
gewesen. Hinterher stellte sie sich als die beste Zuchtstute heraus.
Mit Ansata Ibn Halima brachte sie die braune Falima, die zur Ahnherrin
der "Nile"-Familie wurde. "Sie war die Führerin der Herde, aber
eine sanfte", erinnert sich Judith Forbis. "Immer in Sorge um die
Fohlen und immer zur Stelle, wenn ein Mitglied der Herde Hilfe brauchte."
Ihre Töchter wuchsen zu hervorragenden Zuchtstuten heran und bald
schon war die Nile-Familie berühmt und begehrt.
Eine der bezauberndsten Ableger der Nile-Linie war die Schimmelstute
Nile Allure (Ansata Halim Shah x Ansata Nile Magic von Jamil), gezogen
von Ansata und sechsjährig nach Ägypten exportiert. Sie hatte Halim
Shahs Schönheit geerbt und vom Großvater Jamil den harmonischen
Körper. Die, welche das Glück hatten sie zu sehen (sie starb bereits
2002) meinten, sie sei eine der schönsten Stuten gewesen, die je
ägyptischen Boden betreten habe.
Von ihren Nachkommen ist ihre Tochter
Arousat El Nil Rahim sicherlich ihre Meisterleistung.
Diese edle, trockene Stute, die auf der Al Sharbatly-Farm zu Hause
ist, gehört zu den klassischen Repräsentanten dieser Linie. Sie
verbindet die Schönheit ihrer Mutter mit der Aufrichtung, dem korrekten
Körperbau und den starken Bewegungen ihres Vaters Imperial Madori.
Imperial Madori (Imperial Madheen x Imperial Orianah von Orashan)
wurde vom Imperial-Gestüt in den USA gezüchtet und von Omar Sakr
nach Ägypten geholt. Bis heute dient er ihm als hocherfolgreicher
Hauptbeschäler und gilt als Imperial Madheens einflussreichster
Sohn. Seine Nachkommen gewannen nationale und internationale Schauen.
Er ist eines der wenigen Pferde auf der Welt, die in ihrem Pedigree
die Brüder Orashan und Madheen (beide von Messaoud) vereinen. Diese
beiden Hengste wurden zwar in Deutschland geboren, machten aber
in den USA im Besitz des Imperial-Gestüts Karriere, wo sie erfolgreiche
Fohlen lieferten.
Wie ihr Vater ist auch Arousat El Nil sehr korrekt und es ist schwer,
einen Fehler an ihr zu finden - die Richter auf vielen Schauen sahen
das ähnlich und wählten sie zur Reserve-Championesse der Internationalen
B-Schau 2004 in El Zahraa und zur Championesse des ägyptischen Nationalen
Championats in Sakkara 2005.
Auf Al Sharbatly regiert sie unangefochten als Königin des Gestüts
- und sie scheint es zu wissen! Sie besitzt diese gewisse Ausstrahlung,
die sie immer und überall zum Mittelpunkt werden lässt. Gleichzeitig
ist sie eine ausgeglichene und liebevolle Mutter für ihre Fohlen
und würde sie mit ihrem Leben beschützen! Ihre 2005 geborene Tochter
Amal El Nil Al Sharbatly (von Gazal Sakr)
ist der ganze Stolz von Al Sharbatly.
In diesem Jahr wird Arousat El Nil zu Philippe Hosay und Johanna
Ullström ins "European Training Center" kommen, um an einigen Schauen
teilzunehmen. Danach wird sie von einem Hengst in Europa gedeckt.
